Books of the month - December
Theme: Christmas holiday
In this lovely December, we will celebrate the Christmas holiday- one of the biggest holidays of the year. If you are planning to stay at home with your family this holiday, these will be the lists of Christmas Books you might enjoy :3. Merry Xmas!!!
1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! – Dr. Seuss
Regardless of whether you are familiar with this story or not, it should be included on any list of Christmas literature. The grouchy Grinch discovers that "Christmas doesn't come from a store"—a lesson that is maybe even more applicable today than it was in 1957.
2. Letters from Father Christmas – J.R.R.Tolkien
From the godfather of the book The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien will introduce you to Letters from Father Christmas, which contains holiday letters the author sent for his kids. Immerse yourself in Tolkien's North Pole, where reindeer and polar bears cause mischief and Father Christmas always knows best.
3. A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens
There's a reason why A Christmas Carol is a classic. Dickens' original 1843 novel about Ebenezer Scrooge, his four ghostly encounters, and his subsequent new lease on life has inspired innumerable adaptations, but it merits a prominent spot on any list of the best Christmas books.
4. A Christmas Memory – Truman Capote
Based on Truman’s own life, A Christmas Memory examines a young boy's relationship with his family, particularly during the holidays as a child.
5. The Christmas Sweater – Glenn Beck
A child only wants a new bike for Christmas, but instead he receives a sweater. In this story from 2008, Eddie, who is now an adult, considers the lessons he learned from that Christmas when he was younger and considers whether, given the chance, he would go back and change it.
